Matthew Lopez Direct: 415-758-6300 Matt was born in San Francisco and was raised in the east bay town of Lafayette, CA. He attended the University of California, Berkeley where he lettered in Rugby, was President of his fraternity and graduated with a bachelors degree in Social Science. After graduation, he headed down to Los Angeles to break into acting and found himself working in sales in order to make ends meet. While there, he graduated from the School of Hard Knocks with honors. Eventually, he found his way back to Northern California and started his distinguished career in financial services, first with Midland Security Mortgage, then working his way up with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and Banc of America Investment Services where he attained the rank of Vice President / Financial Advisor. Later, after a brief stint plying his talents with a Private Equity Fund, managing investments and raising capital, Matt refocused his energies on the mortgage business again in 2006. He brings tremendous knowledge and experience here to Terra Mortgage Banking, not only with mortgages, but of your complete financial picture as well. As he says himself, “I fit the ideal mortgage plan to my clients’ life goals, and help them acheive their goals faster!” Matt lives in the East Bay with his wife, Barbara, and their five children.
